Handwoven Rio Grande Weaving: Daegu Window
Rio Grande weavings are a 400 year old tradition in Northern New Mexico. All my Rio Grande weavings are made on a traditional walking loom and with churro wool. The churro sheep were brought from Spain when the first settlers came to New Mexico. My design was inspired by the geometric designs used in traditional Korean home windows. This piece is 59″ X 36″. It comes with a velcro hanger that can be nailed into the wall.
