“Antepasados” Hand Pulled Solar Etching

This Adobe Vernacular Territorial home was still rubbed with a mud straw layer. The details such as the utilities run into the house by way of a window and the wood bond beam are of the period of the time. This Adobe home is located in the Heart of Old Town in Albuquerque, NM. The title is named for the erosion on its surface as are the aged faces of those before us, our Ancestors.

These are all Hand Printed and minute variations show the hand of the Artist and the variables such as the mixing of new ink (pigment). By default each print is unique in its own way.

Description

Solar etching is a light sensitive plate that hardens the light areas and where the darks are it stays soft and is easily removed with water. This creates crevices as in traditional etching and is printed in the same manner. The differences between between are subtle but both have their unique qualities and are used for the possibilities they each have.

This image can be found in a lot of small villages and a great example of that period. It is Hand Printed by the Artist on 100% rag paper, titled, number and signed below the image area. It is a limited edition of 200. Image size is 8″ x 5″ with paper border.

These etchings have been documentaries of our Abodes and their history lies on its construction. It is also my way of including us people in the landscape.

Shipping Policy

Generally ships with-in a week. Custom items may take longer and client is informed of the window of time. Art work is shipped flat in custom packaging. Pricing is based on size, weight and distance.  Framed items can be shipped with glass. Contact the Artist for shipping and delivery options. Common carriers such as UPS, USPS are used for most shipping needs. The customer pays for shipping. Pick Up and Curb Side Pick up are available.

Refund Policy

Returns are accepted for credit on another item of equal value unless item is returned defective. Return must be made within 14 days of delivery at purchaser's destination. Return shipping is paid by purchaser. Custom and One of a Kind items are not refundable.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

Cancellations not accepted on custom items. Custom and one of Kind items are non-refundable. On other items: If customer is not fully satisfied items can be exchanged for equal value, Purchaser is responsible for return shipping charges. Once item is back in good condition, seller will ship new item at no cost. Damages through shipping service should be covered by shipping service.
