Description
Many of my original paintings deal with the inner life of Animals, thus my Ukrainian Sheep is in a Mystical Trance, Contemplating the End of War. He wears a traditional headdress that has become popular since the 2014 Ukrainian War, and in more ancient times was thought to protect the wearer from evil. At the top of the Vinok (headdress) are 3 small javelin missiles embedded in the flowers as I was particularly struck by the soldiers who sing a song to the Javelin missiles that are so effective against the Russian tanks:
Oh, Javelin
(refrain)
When Javelins are fired, the enemy dies fast,
Javelin, Javelin, dear Javelin!
Javelin, Javelin, awesome Javelin!
My Sheep is so beautiful and belies the idea of war, as I created this image as a tribute to the End of War. We need to listen more to Nature and to All the Animals if we are to stop these Horrors.
I hope your find my Anti-war painting beautiful and poignant.
