Description
Sandra Pratt (born 1978) grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and is a self-taught American painter. She uses palette knives to create bold statements of emotional expression in her romantic gestural landscapes. Pratt’s impressionist style is infused with spontaneity, and emotion. Her paintings often represent her memories of time spent in Colorado, New Mexico, New England, Canada, Great Britain, and Western and Northern Europe. Pratt’s work has been exhibited at the Brattleboro Museum in Vermont, the Allied Artists of America in New York, the A. R. Mitchell Museum in Colorado, and the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art in Colorado. She is currently represented by galleries in Bend, Oregon; Carmel by the Sea, California; Denver, Colorado; Vail, Colorado; Boulder, Colorado; and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sandra Pratt currently lives and works in Boulder, Colorado.
