Description

An illustration of the rare and protected Spanish moon moth (Graellsia isabellae), native to the mountains of northern Spain. The Spanish moon moth relies on several species of pine tree for food as an adult. The females will lay their eggs on pine trees, and the larvae will also eat the pine needles once hatched.
