Barbara Hernandez Art

Born and raised in Santa Fe, NM, Barbara Hernandez is handcrafting traditional santos. She is hand carving and painting bultos and hand painting retablos. All pieces are one of a kind and original, no two pieces are alike. She has always been inspired by the local traditional art of Northern New Mexico. Barbara is carrying forward a reinterpretation of a traditional art form of handcrafted bultos and retablos. Her work follows tradition while adding her own personal touch.
