Hand Felted Fiber Art Vessel

Description

This piece was made using the ‘mud effect’. Layers of wool are laid out, and then masking tape is laid down to create a resist. More wool is laid out over the entire piece, including the masking tape.

The piece was then wet felted, with the masking tape still inside, keeping the wool above and below it from felting together.

Once the wool is felted and turned into fabric, cuts are made to remove the masking tape and reveal the design. No sewing is involved whatsoever.
