When we moved to Santa Fe, these vibrant pepper ristras hanging outside everyday were our true “welcome home.” Capturing that memory took several sketches, but the result is a direct reflection of that warm Southwestern greeting.

Rendered in the MINI style (Vibrant Lyrical Abstract Expressionism), this piece emphasizes a deep “Return of the Hand” philosophy. It features heavy, sculptural impasto textures and thick palette knife ridges that give the red, gold, and green peppers a rich, tactile presence against the dark background.
