“Raven Contemplating the Fragrance of Roses”

My beautiful “Raven Contemplating the Fragrance of Roses”, is paused in a moment of ecstatic bliss pondering the heavenly scent of the rose. In my original painting, the Raven is existing in this moment of bliss and is surrounded by surreal Roses that drift about him, leaves fall from Heaven as he stands upon a red globe, at peace in the world, contemplating the fragrance of Roses. The idea is that Ravens as well as all animals love this world and its beauty just as we do. Out here in the great Southwest desert that surrounds Santa Fe, NM, Ravens can be quite large with their wings spanning 4 feet, (at least so it seems). They are so large that their wings move a great deal of air and create a whooshing sound as they fly past. I have had many amazing encounters with these creatures. They are so intelligent and have a way of communicating that makes one almost understand what they are saying. This Raven artwork is one of my favorite images with its colorful blue background yet it remains very contemplative. The Raven Print is on Decorative Laser Cut, Wood and Masonite Collage.
