Black Tourmaline Rings — Handcrafted Copper Talisman Jewelry

Raw black tourmaline, small and unpolished, sits between two simple copper bands. A quiet stack that grounds without announcing itself. Cool metal warming against your skin, dark stone catching light at unexpected angles. A steadying presence that reminds you to protect your energy when the world feels too loud.

Wear this when you need boundaries. When you’re navigating overwhelming spaces or draining interactions and need a physical reminder to stay rooted in yourself. A subtle anchor you can reach for, worn together as a set or mixed with your other rings.

Materials & Specifications

Stone: Raw Black Tourmaline Rod
Small single or double terminated crystal. Approximately 5mm in length. Natural, unpolished black tourmaline with raw texture. Each stone is completely unique in shape and termination. Associated with protection, grounding, and energetic boundaries.

Metal: Copper (Choose Your Finish)
• Bright Copper: Warm, polished shine with high luster
• Antique Copper: Rich patina with organic texture and depth

Set Includes: 3 rings total
• 1 black tourmaline ring (center stone ring)
• 2 plain copper bands (matching stacking rings)

Size: Custom sized for you (US sizing 4-15)
Band Width: Approximately 2mm each (comfortable for everyday wear)

Choose Your Finish

Bright Copper Finish:
Warm, polished copper with high shine. Clean and modern, this finish creates a simple, luminous stack. Will develop natural patina over time unless polished regularly.

Antique Copper Finish:
Rich, darkened patina with organic texture. This finish creates depth and character, celebrating the natural aging process of copper. Each ring develops unique variations in color and tone.

Why Black Tourmaline?

Black tourmaline is associated with protection, grounding, and energetic boundaries. Its raw, unpolished form creates a powerful yet subtle anchor. Chosen for those seeking to protect their energy in overwhelming spaces, establish healthy boundaries, or stay grounded during draining interactions. A simple reminder that you get to choose what energy you carry.

How It’s Made

Each set is handcrafted in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select each raw black tourmaline rod for its natural termination and form, then carefully set it in copper using traditional metalworking techniques. The two plain stacking bands are shaped, soldered, and finished by hand to match the stone ring perfectly. Every set is made specifically for you—no mass production, no shortcuts.

Sizing Guide

This ring set is custom sized for you. All three rings will be made in the same size. Please select your US ring size at checkout (sizes 4-15 available).

Not sure of your size? Use a ring you already own that fits comfortably and measure the inside diameter, or visit a local jeweler for professional sizing.

Between sizes? I recommend sizing up for comfort, especially if you plan to wear all three rings stacked together.

Wearing Note: These rings are designed to be worn stacked together on one finger, but you can also wear them separately on different fingers or mix them with other rings.

Care Instructions

Bright Copper Finish:
Polish regularly with a soft cloth to maintain shine. Copper naturally develops patina over time—embrace it or polish it away based on your preference.

Antique Copper Finish:
The patina will deepen naturally over time, creating unique character. To maintain the current finish, avoid harsh chemicals and moisture.

Both Finishes:
Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store in a dry place when not worn. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Black Tourmaline Care Note:
Black tourmaline is relatively durable but can chip if dropped. Handle with care to preserve the raw crystal’s natural form.

Gift Packaging

Every order arrives in gift-ready packaging with natural materials and a handwritten note card. Add your personal message in the order notes—I’ll handwrite it by hand.

Shipping: USPS First Class with tracking included

Returns: Accepted within 30 days of delivery. Item must be unworn and in original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping.

Shipping Policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Pieces at Blackbird & Sage Studio are handcrafted in Santa Fe, some are made to order. Below are some of the current processing times before the piece is ready to ship.
  • Ready Made items ship out in 1 - 3 business days - these include most necklaces, beaded bracelets, ready made and ready to ship rings, & key chains.
  • Made to Order items ship in about a week - these are most rings, & some earrings & necklaces.
  • Bracelets and detailed pieces are more labor intensive and require a longer production time - they generally ship out in 7 - 14 days but check the listing for specific processing and shipping dates.
  • Processing times are generally listed in each item description.
All orders will be shipped with an accompanying tracking number.   DOMESTIC (US) ORDERS
  • Free Shipping - Orders over $75 are sent USPS First Class Ground Advantage at no charge.
  • Shipping - Orders under $75 are charged by weight. Methods and rates vary and chosen by the customer at checkout.
  • Upgraded Shipping - Available at checkout. Rates are automatically calculated by the shipping carrier so you are never overcharged for shipping.
ORDERS & ADDRESSES All orders are shipped to the address that you provide. Please verify your address carefully during checkout. For those instances where a purchase has been made but the shipping address is incorrect, please send a message to hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com ASAP. For your protection, your order will be cancelled and refunded so that you can reorder with the correct address.

Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 245 Casados St, Apt A, Santa Fe, NM, 87501. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return shipping labels incur a flat rate of $5. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Exceptions / non-returnable items Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on custom made, custom commission, sale items or gift cards. Made-to-order items from standard listings are eligible for return. Custom commissions, specific stone requests, and special orders are non-returnable. Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If items from a promotional bundle are returned, the order may be recalculated without the promotional discount.   European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.
