This raw imperial topaz ring features a genuine raw golden topaz in warm honey-gold, its uncut natural surfaces catching light with a quiet, earthy brilliance, as copper grows directly around it following every contour of the crystal. A grounding, clarifying presence for daily wear or moments when you need to feel focused and alive. A piece with real warmth — the golden topaz and copper together are a natural pairing that deepens with wear.

Imperial topaz is associated with clarity, abundance, and quiet courage. The November birthstone. A solar plexus chakra stone. Wear it when you need to feel grounded and purposeful.

Why Raw Imperial Topaz

Imperial topaz is a naturally occurring aluminum silicate mineral, its warm golden color the result of trace chromium and iron content. The rarest and most prized variety of topaz, found primarily in Ouro Preto, Brazil. A traditional November birthstone — alongside citrine — associated with the solar plexus chakra (Manipura). Long associated with clarity, abundance, and courageous intention. It is chosen in its raw, uncut form so the crystal’s natural geometry and surface character are fully preserved. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Topaz Ring Is Made

Each raw imperial topaz ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every raw crystal for its color depth and natural form, then encase it in copper using traditional electroforming techniques. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical process, following every edge and surface of the raw crystal exactly. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every handmade ring from this studio is one of a kind.

Care

Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Imperial topaz is relatively durable — the copper is the part to protect. Let the antique patina deepen naturally with wear, or polish gently with a soft cloth to brighten.

Every order arrives gift-ready with natural materials and a handwritten note card. Add your message in the order notes.

  • Shipping: USPS First Class with tracking.
  • Returns: Accepted within 30 days, unworn, in original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping.

Shipping Policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Pieces at Blackbird & Sage Studio are handcrafted in Santa Fe, some are made to order. Below are some of the current processing times before the piece is ready to ship.
  • Ready Made items ship out in 1 - 3 business days - these include most necklaces, beaded bracelets, ready made and ready to ship rings, & key chains.
  • Made to Order items ship in about a week - these are most rings, & some earrings & necklaces.
  • Bracelets and detailed pieces are more labor intensive and require a longer production time - they generally ship out in 7 - 14 days but check the listing for specific processing and shipping dates.
  • Processing times are generally listed in each item description.
All orders will be shipped with an accompanying tracking number.   DOMESTIC (US) ORDERS
  • Free Shipping - Orders over $75 are sent USPS First Class Ground Advantage at no charge.
  • Shipping - Orders under $75 are charged by weight. Methods and rates vary and chosen by the customer at checkout.
  • Upgraded Shipping - Available at checkout. Rates are automatically calculated by the shipping carrier so you are never overcharged for shipping.
ORDERS & ADDRESSES All orders are shipped to the address that you provide. Please verify your address carefully during checkout. For those instances where a purchase has been made but the shipping address is incorrect, please send a message to hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com ASAP. For your protection, your order will be cancelled and refunded so that you can reorder with the correct address.

Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 245 Casados St, Apt A, Santa Fe, NM, 87501. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return shipping labels incur a flat rate of $5. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Exceptions / non-returnable items Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on custom made, custom commission, sale items or gift cards. Made-to-order items from standard listings are eligible for return. Custom commissions, specific stone requests, and special orders are non-returnable. Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If items from a promotional bundle are returned, the order may be recalculated without the promotional discount.   European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
