Description
Raw Sonoran turquoise in bright sky-blue with natural matrix, arranged in a V and set in dark electroformed copper. Sonoran turquoise from the mines of northern Mexico and the American Southwest runs more saturated and blue than many other varieties, with a matrix that traces the stone’s origin in every piece. The combination with antique copper is the natural one. These materials come from the same earth.
Turquoise is associated with protection, grounding, and clear communication. It is the birthstone for December. Wear it when you want something that carries a sense of place.
Why Sonoran Turquoise
Turquoise is a hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate mineral, and its blue-green color comes directly from the copper in its chemical structure. Sonoran turquoise is sourced from mines in the Sonoran Desert region spanning northern Mexico and the American Southwest, an area with one of the longest traditions of turquoise use in the world. The matrix patterns in Sonoran turquoise vary by mine and are part of the stone’s identity. It is the birthstone for December. No mystical claims. Just a stone with deep roots in the land it comes from.

How This Handmade Turquoise Ring Is Made
Each stone is hand-selected for color saturation and matrix character before being set into an electroformed copper band built up around it through an electrolytic process. No casting, no molds. The copper grows directly around each stone, creating a setting completely unique to each piece. The chevron shape is formed by hand, and the antique finish deepens the oxidation to bring out the electroformed texture.
A Note on Stone Variation
Sonoran turquoise is a natural stone and each piece will vary in matrix pattern, color depth, and surface character. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but entirely one of a kind.
Care
Turquoise is porous and should be kept away from water, oils, perfumes, and chemical cleaners. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions. Store dry. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners. The antique copper finish will develop a natural patina over time.
