Rug 397, 45″ X 46″
$2,000.00
Southwestern, hand dyed, handwoven rug. 100% Navajo-Churro wool. Weight: 5.5 pounds. Mothproof. Damascus end treatment reinforced with maritime cabling makes for a clean and strong finish. It has simple lines in an architectural or structural rhythm. After all, “Architecture (and weaving) is frozen music.” Over 100 hours of laying down tapestry seemed to call for a Navajo “Spirit Line” (ch’ihónít’i) which is something I always use with closed borders. It is a line that “prevents the weavers spirit from being trapped and allows weaver’s spirit to safely exit the rug.”
