This art piece was inspired by famous woman artist Georgia O’Keeffe. Starting with an image of an American buffalo skull, I embedded fiber roses on the background and sepia toned the wax to give this mixed media encaustic art piece the look of vintage wallpaper. The painting is on a birch wood panel that is 1.5 inches deep.
