Zelda Fluted Yucca Vessel

Description

This decorative fluted vessel is a collaboration between Santa Fe ceramic artist Angela Smith Kirkman who threw the form on a potter’s wheel and native artist Zelda Garcia of Acoma Pueblo who painted the design with a brush made from the yucca plant, the manner traditional in her ancestorial home. Her designs on this vessel symbolize yucca, the sun, pueblo homes, mountains, and rain.
