Description

These quartz point drop earrings are a small, considered thing. A single raw quartz point, approximately 1 inch, is electroformed in copper so the metal grows directly around the crystal, preserving every facet and edge of the raw form. The result is a compact, wearable drop that catches light the way only raw crystal does. Quartz has been used as a clarity and amplification stone across cultures for thousands of years. This is the piece for the person who wants that meaning close, in a form quiet enough for every day.

Why Quartz

Quartz is silicon dioxide, one of the most abundant minerals on earth, formed in a wide range of geological environments from igneous to metamorphic rock. Its clarity comes from its highly ordered crystal structure. The raw point form reflects the natural hexagonal growth habit of quartz crystals. Long used across cultures as a clarity and amplification stone. Crown chakra. No mystical claims. Just a genuinely beautiful mineral with a meaning that fits real life.

Quartz Point Drop Earrings: Materials & Specifications

  • Stone: Natural raw quartz point, approximately 25mm (1 inch), electroformed in copper. Each point is unique in clarity and form.
  • Metal: Electroformed copper. Antique finish with living patina.
  • Finding: Niobium ear wires (hypoallergenic, ideal for sensitive ears).
  • Dimensions: Approximately 32mm (1.25 inch) total drop per earring.
  • Origin: Handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

How These Handmade Gemstone Earrings Are Made

Each pair of quartz point drop earrings is made by hand in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every quartz point for its clarity and raw form, then electroform copper directly around the crystal so the metal cradles the stone without obscuring it. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every handmade gemstone earring pair from this studio is one of a kind.

A Note on Stone Variation

Because these are natural raw quartz points, each pair varies in clarity, size, and form. That variation is part of what makes them handmade and real.

Care

Remove before swimming, showering, or applying lotions. Store dry. Polish copper with a soft cloth to maintain shine or let the antique patina deepen naturally over time.

Gift Packaging

Every order arrives gift-ready with natural materials and a handwritten note card. Add your message in the order notes.

Shipping & Returns

  • Processing: Ships within 1 to 2 business days.
  • Shipping: USPS First Class with tracking.
  • Returns: Accepted within 30 days, unworn, in original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping.

Shipping Policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Pieces at Blackbird & Sage Studio are handcrafted in Santa Fe, some are made to order. Below are some of the current processing times before the piece is ready to ship.
  • Ready Made items ship out in 1 - 3 business days - these include most necklaces, beaded bracelets, ready made and ready to ship rings, & key chains.
  • Made to Order items ship in about a week - these are most rings, & some earrings & necklaces.
  • Bracelets and detailed pieces are more labor intensive and require a longer production time - they generally ship out in 7 - 14 days but check the listing for specific processing and shipping dates.
  • Processing times are generally listed in each item description.
All orders will be shipped with an accompanying tracking number.   DOMESTIC (US) ORDERS
  • Free Shipping - Orders over $75 are sent USPS First Class Ground Advantage at no charge.
  • Shipping - Orders under $75 are charged by weight. Methods and rates vary and chosen by the customer at checkout.
  • Upgraded Shipping - Available at checkout. Rates are automatically calculated by the shipping carrier so you are never overcharged for shipping.
ORDERS & ADDRESSES All orders are shipped to the address that you provide. Please verify your address carefully during checkout. For those instances where a purchase has been made but the shipping address is incorrect, please send a message to hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com ASAP. For your protection, your order will be cancelled and refunded so that you can reorder with the correct address.

Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 245 Casados St, Apt A, Santa Fe, NM, 87501. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return shipping labels incur a flat rate of $5. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Exceptions / non-returnable items Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on custom made, custom commission, sale items or gift cards. Made-to-order items from standard listings are eligible for return. Custom commissions, specific stone requests, and special orders are non-returnable. Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If items from a promotional bundle are returned, the order may be recalculated without the promotional discount.   European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
