Two raw Facet A grade citrine crystals, natural, untreated, and unheated, each one a slice of captured sunlight, suspended from copper-finished niobium wires and wrapped in the slow-grown texture of electroformed copper. The antique patina deepens the golden glow of the stone. The one-inch drop keeps the weight light and the presence felt. This is not decorative citrine. This is the real thing.

Citrine is associated with solar energy, abundance, and the confidence to pursue what you want. Wear it when you are building something. Wear it when you need to remember what you are capable of.

Why Citrine

Citrine is a variety of quartz colored by trace amounts of iron, ranging from pale yellow to deep amber gold. Long associated with clarity, optimism, and abundance across cultures. November birthstone. Solar plexus chakra. The stone of forward motion and warm, focused energy.

Most citrine on the market is heat-treated amethyst, purple quartz artificially turned golden through high-temperature processing. The stones used in this studio are natural, untreated, unheated Facet A grade citrine: genuine golden quartz with its original color, clarity, and mineral integrity fully intact. That distinction matters both for quality and for honesty.

No mystical claims. Just a genuinely rare and beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

Raw Citrine Dangle Earrings: Materials and Specifications

  • Stone: Natural raw citrine, Facet A grade, untreated and unheated. Warm golden yellow, translucent, with natural facets and inclusions. Each stone is unique in color and form.
  • Metal: Electroformed pure copper, antique patina finish, deepening with wear.
  • Finding: Niobium ear wires with copper finish. Naturally hypoallergenic and nickel-free, suited for metal-sensitive ears.
  • Drop length: Approximately 1 inch.
  • Weight: Light, suitable for everyday wear.
  • Origin: Handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

How These Earrings Are Made

Each pair begins with raw Facet A grade citrine selected by hand for color, form, and quality. A conductive layer is applied to the stone, then it is submerged in a copper bath where pure copper grows around the crystal layer by layer over several hours. The result is an organic, textured setting that follows the natural edges of each stone. No two pairs are identical because no two stones are identical.

A Note on Stone Variation

These earrings are ready to ship. The citrine shown in the listing photos is representative of the stone you will receive in terms of color and quality. Natural variation in shape, surface texture, and exact tone is part of what makes each pair genuinely one of a kind.

Care

Citrine is durable at 7 on the Mohs scale and suitable for everyday wear. Remove before water, swimming, and applying lotions. Store dry and away from prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade citrine’s golden color over time. The copper patina will deepen naturally with wear. To brighten, buff gently with a soft dry cloth.

Every pair arrives gift-ready with natural materials and a handwritten note card. Add your message in the order notes.

  • Processing: Ready to ship within 2 to 3 business days.
  • Shipping: USPS First Class with tracking.
  • Returns: Due to hygiene reasons, earrings are non-returnable. Please reach out if there is a problem with your order.

Shipping Policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Pieces at Blackbird & Sage Studio are handcrafted in Santa Fe, some are made to order. Below are some of the current processing times before the piece is ready to ship.
  • Ready Made items ship out in 1 - 3 business days - these include most necklaces, beaded bracelets, ready made and ready to ship rings, & key chains.
  • Made to Order items ship in about a week - these are most rings, & some earrings & necklaces.
  • Bracelets and detailed pieces are more labor intensive and require a longer production time - they generally ship out in 7 - 14 days but check the listing for specific processing and shipping dates.
  • Processing times are generally listed in each item description.
All orders will be shipped with an accompanying tracking number.   DOMESTIC (US) ORDERS
  • Free Shipping - Orders over $75 are sent USPS First Class Ground Advantage at no charge.
  • Shipping - Orders under $75 are charged by weight. Methods and rates vary and chosen by the customer at checkout.
  • Upgraded Shipping - Available at checkout. Rates are automatically calculated by the shipping carrier so you are never overcharged for shipping.
ORDERS & ADDRESSES All orders are shipped to the address that you provide. Please verify your address carefully during checkout. For those instances where a purchase has been made but the shipping address is incorrect, please send a message to hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com ASAP. For your protection, your order will be cancelled and refunded so that you can reorder with the correct address.

Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 245 Casados St, Apt A, Santa Fe, NM, 87501. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return shipping labels incur a flat rate of $5. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Exceptions / non-returnable items Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on custom made, custom commission, sale items or gift cards. Made-to-order items from standard listings are eligible for return. Custom commissions, specific stone requests, and special orders are non-returnable. Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If items from a promotional bundle are returned, the order may be recalculated without the promotional discount.   European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.
