Nine raw amethysts, pale and luminous as early morning light, arranged in a V and set in dark electroformed copper. The chevron shape is ancient and deliberate, a form that has meant protection, direction, and forward movement across cultures for thousands of years. In soft lavender amethyst, it feels like something worn at the edge of a dream, calm and purposeful. This ring was made for the ones who move with clarity and want their jewelry to mean something.

Amethyst is associated with clarity, calm, and inner wisdom. It is the birthstone for February and is connected to the crown chakra. Wear it when you need to feel clear-headed and grounded in yourself.

Why Amethyst

Amethyst is a variety of quartz colored by iron and trace elements, found on every continent, with notable deposits in Brazil, Uruguay, and Zambia. Its violet hue ranges from pale lilac to deep royal purple, with natural variation in saturation and tone from stone to stone. The name comes from the ancient Greek amethystos, meaning “not intoxicated” — it was believed to keep the wearer clear-minded. It is the birthstone for February and is associated with the crown chakra, intuition, and calm clarity. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

Raw Amethyst Chevron Ring: Materials & Specifications

  • Stone: Raw rough amethyst, soft pale lavender-purple, natural unpolished surface. Nine stones arranged in a V-chevron shape.
  • Stone size: Approximately 4-6mm each
  • Setting: Smooth organic electroformed copper bezel, copper flows around each stone with no prongs
  • Metal: Electroformed copper with extremely dark oxidized antique finish, near-black patina in recessed areas with warm copper glints on raised surfaces

How This Handmade Amethyst Ring Is Made

Each stone is hand-selected for color and raw character before being set into an electroformed copper band built up around it through an electrolytic process. No casting, no molds — the copper grows directly around each stone, creating a setting that is completely unique to each piece. The chevron shape is formed by hand, and the antique finish is applied to deepen the oxidation and bring out the texture of the electroformed surface.

A Note on Stone Variation

Amethyst is a natural stone and each piece will vary slightly in tone, shape, and surface texture. Your ring will be similar to the one shown but entirely one of a kind.

Care

Amethyst can fade in prolonged direct sunlight, so store away from bright light when not wearing. Remove before swimming, bathing, or applying lotions and perfumes. Store dry. The antique copper finish will develop a natural patina over time, which only deepens the character of the piece. A light buff with a soft cloth will restore the warm copper glints if desired.

Shipping Policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Pieces at Blackbird & Sage Studio are handcrafted in Santa Fe, some are made to order. Below are some of the current processing times before the piece is ready to ship.
  • Ready Made items ship out in 1 - 3 business days - these include most necklaces, beaded bracelets, ready made and ready to ship rings, & key chains.
  • Made to Order items ship in about a week - these are most rings, & some earrings & necklaces.
  • Bracelets and detailed pieces are more labor intensive and require a longer production time - they generally ship out in 7 - 14 days but check the listing for specific processing and shipping dates.
  • Processing times are generally listed in each item description.
All orders will be shipped with an accompanying tracking number.   DOMESTIC (US) ORDERS
  • Free Shipping - Orders over $75 are sent USPS First Class Ground Advantage at no charge.
  • Shipping - Orders under $75 are charged by weight. Methods and rates vary and chosen by the customer at checkout.
  • Upgraded Shipping - Available at checkout. Rates are automatically calculated by the shipping carrier so you are never overcharged for shipping.
ORDERS & ADDRESSES All orders are shipped to the address that you provide. Please verify your address carefully during checkout. For those instances where a purchase has been made but the shipping address is incorrect, please send a message to hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com ASAP. For your protection, your order will be cancelled and refunded so that you can reorder with the correct address.

Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 245 Casados St, Apt A, Santa Fe, NM, 87501. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return shipping labels incur a flat rate of $5. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@blackbirdsagestudio.com.

Damages and issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Exceptions / non-returnable items Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on custom made, custom commission, sale items or gift cards. Made-to-order items from standard listings are eligible for return. Custom commissions, specific stone requests, and special orders are non-returnable. Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If items from a promotional bundle are returned, the order may be recalculated without the promotional discount.   European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
